Penalties for acts concerning hazardous substances

1. Illegally transporting, mailing or carrying hazardous substances

According to provisions of Law on Penalties for Administration of Public Security, any person who in violation of laws in China, manufactures, buys, sells, stores, transports, mails, carries, uses, provides or disposes of hazardous substances such as explosive, toxic, radioactive and corrosive substances or pathogens of infectious diseases, shall be imposed on of a detention of not less than ten days but not more than fifteen days; if the circumstances are relatively light, a detention of not less than five days but not more than ten days shall be imposed on.

2. Failing to report as required by relevant regulations that hazardous substances are stolen, robbed or lost

According to provisions of Law on Penalties for Administration of Public Security, any person who fails to report, as required by relevant regulations, that hazardous substances as explosive, toxic, radioactive and corrosive substances or pathogens of infectious diseases are stolen, robbed or lost, shall be imposed on of a detention of not more than five days; if he intentionally hides the fact and does not report it, a detention of not less than five days but not more than ten days will be imposed on.

3. Penalties for endangering public safety by manufacturing, selling or providing hazardous substances within the territory of China

According to provisions of Law on Penalties for Administration of Public Security, any person who manufactures, sells, or provides hazardous substances which endangers public safety shall be imposed on a detention of not less than ten days but not more than fifteen days.
