A research group from the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRCSC) paid a visit to Dehong prefecture on May 22.

The delegation, led by Zhang Yutai, former director of the DRCSC, visited Longchuan, Ruili and Mangshi to investigate the development of agricultural industry there. Reviewing conditions there, they analyzed the problems hindering agricultural development and made some suggestions.

Zhang expressed his gratitude to local officials for supporting the investigation, and praised the efforts made by the local government, especially in encouraging the coffee industry. He also said the group would give a report to the State Council on the expectations and needs of Dehong’s people.
