The strategy of Chinese medicine intellectual property is the core for the modernization of Chinese medicine. It includes the relevant basic principles, targets, contents and protection measures. The basic principle for the protection of Chinese medicine intellectual property is to inherit and develop the theories and traditions of Chinese medicine. The fundamental target of Chinese medicine intellectual property is to promote the modernization of Chinese medicine. The core for the protection of intellectual property of Chinese medicine is the innovation, protection, effective utilization and personnel cultivation of intellectual property. The reliable protection for intellectual property of Chinese medicine is effective laws and regulations and appropriate organizations.
