Abstract: Improving coordinated governance mechanism is of great significance to promote the cooperative development of the eastern and western regions. The collaboration between the eastern and western regions has gone through four stages of planned assistance, paired assistance, partner assistance, and collaboration assistance. The governance mechanism has also gradually moved from one-way assistance under government leadership to two-way collaboration under government guidance. In recent years, the collaborative governance of east and west regions has achieved significant results, but there are still some problems in such areas as promoting collaborative governance concept, innovating organizational leadership, establishing communication and exchange mechanism, improving science and technology personnel mechanism, and perfecting assessment and supervision mechanism. Facing new situation and new tasks in the new stage of development, it is necessary to take measures in the areas such as innovating organization and leadership mechanism, establishing communication and exchange mechanism, improving science and technology personnel mechanism, forming social participation mechanism, perfecting assessment and supervision mechanism, etc., in order to promote the collaboration between the eastern and western regions to a new level.
