According to the article, Guizhou, known as China's green corridor and big data valley, has seen great economic and social transformation in recent decades thanks to green development policies.

In 2017, Guizhou attracted 744 million tourists, which contributed over $110 billion to the local economy, an increase of 40 percent compared with 2016, and helped over 500,000 local people overcome poverty.
