Several major industries in Southwest China's Guizhou province will scale up, after the province secured 98.50 billion yuan ($14.01 billion) in investment at an investment attraction conference held in the province's capital city of Guiyang on Nov 27.

Hosted by the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK), the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, and the People's Government of Guizhou, the conference took the theme of "helping Guizhou get out of poverty by focusing on more support to industries."

During the conference, investments made by enterprises under the RCCK are expected to be injected into 49 projects in Guizhou, including 10 of Guizhou's 100 billion yuan industries, 12 special agricultural industries, and five new service industries.

The RCCK has made full use of its economic strengths and advantages in resources since it was designated to relieve poverty in Nayong county in Guizhou. The committee has brought in a number of well-known enterprises and big projects as part of its poverty alleviation efforts.

The conference was an important move for RCCK to support Guizhou's development by attracting more entrepreneurs to the province and bolstering high-quality development.
