Guizhou Power Grid Co Ltd (貴州電網有限責任公司) is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid Co Ltd. It was established in August, 2004. Its main business includes planning, construction, operation and management of the power grid of Guizhou province and the sale of electricity. It supplies electricity to the entire province and is involved in the west-east electricity transmission project.
It has 109 subordinate organizations, including 10 district power supply bureaus, one capital construction organization, 11 general affairs offices, and 87 county power supply bureaus. Currently it has a staff of 48,000 people and offers electricity to more than 13 million households.
Guizhou Power Grid has ranked first among the top 100 companies in Guizhou province for seven consecutive years; it has also ranked first in the customer satisfaction poll organized by the local government for six consecutive years.
Since the 12th Five-Year Plan, with the guiding principle of "honesty, service, harmony and innovation", Guizhou Power Grid has loyally served the people and dutifully fulfilled its corporate social responsibility. In times of economic downturn and natural disasters, such as droughts and floods, the company has overcome hardship and done what it can to contribute to the social-economic development of Guizhou province.
During the 12th Five-Year Plan, Guizhou Power Grid's electricity sales volume has increased by 22.3 percent. The company spent 56.8 billion yuan ($9.01 billion) in fixed-asset investment and built a 500-kilovolt main grid, covering all districts.
In 2016, the company's electricity sales volume reached 134.77 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of one percent over the same period in 2015. Its business revenue reached 54.99 billion yuan in 2016.
