A flood alarm system developed by East Century Technology of the Guiyang High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) won the top prize at the Water Conservancy Science and Technology Awards in Guizhou province.
Guizhou province has launched a comprehensive medical supervision platform using big data industry in an attempt to improve the big data system in the region.
Big data has been playing an important role in Guizhou's fight against poverty, said Huo Tao, chairman of Guizhou Baishan Cloud Co Ltd and one of Guizhou NPC deputies.
There have been more than 20,000 surveillance cameras installed in public areas in Guiyang with the intended goal of improving safety, said Chen Yan, mayor of Guiyang.
