In the youth group, the winner was the Wuxi Meicun Experimental Primary School. Teams from Taiwan finished in second and third place.
According to the General Administration of Sport of China, the cross-Straits baseball league will be permanently hosted by the Xinwu district of Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province on years that the event is scheduled for the Chinese mainland.
Wuxi has a favorable baseball foundation and advanced facilities. It is one of only three cities in China to own a development center established by the United States' Major League Baseball, the world's best baseball league. Xu Guiyuan, the latest product of MLB's Wuxi-based development center, signed for the major league franchise Baltimore Orioles in 2016.
