Philips (China) Investment Co Ltd, a subsidiary of the famous Global Top 500 Company Royal Philips Electronics, visited the coastal city Dandong, in Liaoning province. It sought cooperation with the local government for the production and marketing of LED lighting products on Dec 15.

Yan Wenqi, Chief Business Officer of Philips (China) Investment Co Ltd, was welcomed by Dai Yulin, secretary of the Dandong municipal CPC committee.

Dai gave a detailed introduction of Dandong concerning its geography, transportation, infrastructure and development. The two sides discussed Dandong's market potential for LED lighting products and the possible gains from investments by Philips on new plants in the city.

According to Dai, Dandong boasts a superb market environment for smart lighting products and is well positioned for an advanced economy.

"Taking into consideration Dandong's accelerating growth, it could even serve as the gateway to the whole Northeast Asia area", he added.

Dandong welcomes famous electronics companies like Philips to invest in Dandong and is striving to create the best environment of development for them
