T Dam

Contracted by Sinohydro's Asia Pacific Department, the Thalpitigala reservoir project (T Dam) is located in the Badulla region of Uva province in Sri Lanka's central mountainous region, 310 kilometers from the country’s capital city of Colombo.
The project is a diversion-type power plant. The dam provides water for irrigation and ecological use downstream with a designed flow of 19 cubic meters per second and an installation capacity of 2x7.5 mW. The T Dam project team is currently in the preparation stage, which includes site surveying, drawing, outsource planning, and coordinating with the owner to promote land acquisition.
