A foreign high-end talent and project introduction and signing conference was held by the Hebei Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs in Langfang, Hebei province on May 18.

More than 350 delegates took part in the event, including 70 high-end foreign experts from over 20 countries and regions. A Nobel laureate, a chief scientist, 11 academicians, and 10 foreign scientists of Chinese origin were in attendance.

Zhang Gujiang, vice-governor of Hebei province, welcomed all delegates from different countries, and said that Hebei needs more high-end talents.

Foreign experts from 10 countries, including the US, Germany, the UK, and Australia released 20 major projects at the conference. Contracts for 48 projects were signed, including ones in new energy, environment protection, modern agriculture, and big data, with a total value of about 114 million dollars. The conference brought more projects, investment, technology, and advanced management experience to Hebei, which will further promote its industrial development.
