Guyi Garden in Jiading district was one of the first six city parks in Shanghai to reopen to the public as the COVID-19 epidemic subsides, local media reported on March 13.
From 8am to 5pm, visitors can enter the park by presenting their Health QR Code. They are also required to wear a mask and take a body temperature test.
Security departments will monitor real-time visitor numbers and control the number of visitors to avoid crowding. A wide range of sanitation, disinfection and cleanliness measures will be taken to ensure the safety and health of tourists and staff members.
The children's park remains closed.
"I've been looking forward to the Guyi Garden reopening to the public. It's so good to visit the park and see my friends again after staying at home for more than a month," said a senior citizen surnamed Zhou.
Flowers are in full bloom at Guyi Garden and it is the best time to admire purple magnolia, plum blossoms, and camellia.

Built during the reign of Emperor Wanli of the Ming Dynasty (1574-1620), Guyi Garden was one of the most famous gardens in East China and covers an area of nearly 10 hectares.
The name of the garden was borrowed from the Book of Songs, meaning beautiful and green bamboo. The Ming-styled architecture, couplets and poems, and stone-paved paths lined with flowers, represent the main features of the garden.
