The renowned Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort will run its summer carnival for visitors from June 24 and August 31 at various tourist attractions in the area.

Venues such as the Playa Maya Water Park, Happy Valley, Moon Lake Sculpture Park, She Mountain, Chenshan Botanical Garden, Tianma Country Club, Sheshan Forest Hotel and Sofitel Hotel (Sheshan) will offer exciting activities, such as virtual reality (VR) experiences, water rides and camping.

Playa Maya Water Park is popular with both Chinese and overseas visitors on account of its well-developed facilities and prime location in scenic Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort.

As the hot summer months set in, thrill seekers can head to Playa Maya Water Park in Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort to cool off and get the adrenalin flowing.

The water park, which is next to Shanghai Happy Valley, is spread over an 200,000 square meters and is hugely popular because of the range and quality of the facilities on offer.

Among the famous rides are the super horn, a free-fall water drop, a big octopus slide, a water turbo drop ride, and the Magic Water Town. Many of the park's rides have been imported from Canada to ensure high quality and design.

In addition to the park's exciting rides, Playa Maya offers visitors numerous other exciting opportunities for amusement, such as a summer music fair, a song and dance carnival, water gun fights, and other water games.

Since opening in 2013, Playa Maya Water Park has proven hugely popular with tourists from home and abroad and has hosted about 2 million tourists.

The park is striving to become the largest and most exciting water amusement park in East China.

From June 16, the park will be open from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm every day.
