The 2014 China Dragon Boat Tournament (Taiyuan, Shanxi) will be held in the Fenhe River scenic area from Changfeng Bridge to Jifen Bridge from July 12 to 13.

More than 300 athletes from 12 professional teams will compete for honors in the 200 meter and 500 meter straight speed race and 5,000 meter round race.

Dragon boat racing is the highlight of Duanwu Festival, which falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month.

Jointly hosted by the State General Administration of Sports, the China Dragon Boat Association, Shanxi Sports Bureau and Taiyuan municipal government, the China Dragon Boat Tournament is the top-level dragon boat race in China.
