Fitness event held in Shenyang

A fitness activity was held in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on June 16, at the Olympic Park in Hunnan district.
Participants divided into two teams had to walk 5 kilometers respectively, setting out from two main venues.
Initiated in 2015, the walking event has become the most popular fitness activity in Shenyang.
Nearly 50,000 residents participated in the event, starting their walks at either the Olympic Park or Wili River Park, and a branch venue at Heping Park, as well as smaller venues in 13 districts and counties around the city.
The event organizers hoped to raise participants’ awareness of the importance of staying healthy and keeping fit.
