High-quality route 1: Exploring the mysteries of Shenyang

Shenyang Imperial Palace, built during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), is one of the two best-preserved palace complexes in China, the other being the Forbidden City in Beijing. Shenyang Imperial Palace was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in July 2004.

Zhongxin (Central) Temple, at 333.33 square meters, is the smallest of Shenyang’s temples, sitting between Shenyang Imperial Palace and Zhongjie Street.

Built on 5,200 sq m?before the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the Temple of Eternal Peace is one of the most ancient temples in Shenyang.

Shenyang’s Four Pagodas stand on each side of the city’s walls and include East Pagoda/Yongguang Temple, West Pagoda/Yanshou Temple, South Pagoda/Guangci Temple, and North Pagoda/Falun Temple. The pagodas were erected in 1643 by Huang Taiji, the?second emperor of the Qing Dynasty.
