Located near Shenyang Railway Station, Taiyuan Street stretches 3,950 meters and is a multifunctional commercial street in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province -- integrating commerce, catering, culture and entertainment services.

The section from Zhongshan Road in the north to the city cultural palace in the south is the most prosperous commercial street in the city and is often called the Wangfujing of Shenyang.

As one of China's best-known commercial pedestrian streets, Taiyuan Street is one of the most influential fashion hubs in Northeast China. It follows the example of the Ginza shopping district in Tokyo, Japan and the business area was rebuilt in the early years of the 21st century.

Taiyuan Street is dominated by hundreds of stores, a dozen modern shopping malls and also boasts various specialty shops. It receives millions of visitors every day, with turnover exceeding 100 million yuan ($14.28 million).
