Top 10 ideal places for walking in Shenyang

Shenyang, capital city of Northeast China's Liaoning province, recently recommended 10 places for walking in the city, to explore its beauty in spring.

1. Shenshuiwan Park

Shenshuiwan Park is located in the south of Shenyang city, adjacent to Gongnong Bridge in the west and Hunhe River in the south. The entire park lies along the green belt of the Hunhe River, making it an ideal place for walks. Long-distance walking route: Shenshuiwan Park main gate to Shengli Bridge, covering back-and-forth 12 kilometers.

2. Wulihe Park

Wulihe Park is the largest urban riverfront park in Shenyang. It runs from Changqing Bridge in the east to Hunhe Bridge in the west, spanning 4 km; it runs from Erhuan Road in the north to the banks of Hunhe River in the south, with a length of 400 meters. The section from the east gate of Wulihe Park to the Venice of the East is a good place for a stroll, with flowers and fresh air.

3. Changbai Island Forest Park

The Changbai Island Forest Park has beautiful landscape and a pleasant environment. It has a wooden walkway that stretches for more than 2,000 m. It is quiet under the shade of dense trees, with the rich fragrance of flowers that wafts from the breeze.

4. Beiling Park

Beiling Park is the largest park in Shenyang. People can walk around or in the park. Long route: Beiling Park -- the martyrs’ cemetery and the 9.18 Historical Museum, Beiling Park -- North Canal -- the dagoba -- Xinkau River -- around Dingxiang Lake, stretching a total of 10 km.

5. Mozi Mountain Park

Mozi Mountain Park is located at the east end of the east-west ecological landscape axis planned by Hunnan New City. It covers an area of about 52.5 hectares. It is an important part of the green landscape of Hunnan New City and an important outdoor recreational activity place for local residents. Mountains, water and forests make it an ideal place for walking.

6. Qipan Mountain

Qipan Mountain is located in the northeast of Shenyang city, adjacent to Fushun in the east, the agricultural high-tech zone in the west, Hunhe in the south, Tieling in the north and is about 32 km away from downtown Shenyang. The fresh air makes it particularly suitable for outings and hiking.

7. Bird Island

Bird Island is the only natural ecological bird watching center in Shenyang. The route of Bird Island -- Dongling Park – to the national fitness base is the best choice to enjoy the beauty of nature.

8. Youth Park and Wanquan Park

The Youth Park has various unique garden attractions. Wanquan Park is a famous garden in Shenyang city with a long history and is the first choice for the elderly and children. Specific route: start walking at Wanquan Park, leaving the park along Binhe Road all the way south to Yijing Garden in East Binhe Road, and then walk around Youth Park. The total journey is about 6.5 km, taking 1.5 hours.

9. North Canal

The beautiful scenery along the North Canal makes it ideal for walking. Route: Tawan Beach Park -- Huaihe Street -- Nujiang Street -- Changjiang Street -- Huanghe Street. The total length is 8.5 km and it takes about 1.5 hours.

10. Dadong Plaza

Dadong Plaza is divided into an entertainment area, fitness area and leisure area. It also has the largest musical fountain in Shenyang. The outer circle is a good place for residents to relax.
