Liaoning Provincial Museum

Liaoning Provincial Museum is the first comprehensive museum to have been built after the founding of the New China in 1949. It is internationally renowned for its rich and special collections. With a total of 112,000 items of cultural relics, it features in particular calligraphy and painting works from the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Song Dynasty (960-1279) and Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), bronze ware from the Shang Dynasty (c.16th century-11th century BC) and the Zhou Dynasty (c.11th century-256 BC), porcelain from the Liao Dynasty (916-1125), currencies from past dynasties and much more.

Liaoning Science and Technology Museum

Liaoning Science and Technology Museum is a key landmark in Liaoning province, covering an area of 69,100 square meters, with a height of 31.9 meters. The museum is composed of permanent exhibitions, short-term exhibitions, popular science special effects theaters, training laboratories, popular science exhibits and other projects. It is a springboard for popularizing science in the province, integrating education, scientific exchanges, leisure and other activities.

Liaoning Provincial Library

Liaoning Provincial Library is a provincial-level public library, housing one of the first national ancient book protection units and is also a national-level public library. Liaoning Provincial Library has a building area of 100,000 sq m, with a collection of more than 6.5 million documents, 610,000 ancient books, including more than 100 editions from the Song Dynasty (960-1279) and Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368).
