The first Yunnan cultural industry fair will be held in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan, from Aug 9 to 14, 2013.

This cultural industry fair includes: the China Kunming Pan-Asian Folk Crafts Fair, the Yunnan Jade Carving Master Works Exhibition, the Kunming Animation Festival, the Yunnan Culture Creativity Exhibition, the Yunnan Ethnic Costume Festival, and the Pottery Art Festival.

At this fair, there are various Yunnan cultural products on display, such as design works, ethnic costumes, cartoon derivative products, purple pottery, silver pot, porphyry copper, carved wood, embroidery and jewelry. In addition, famous cultural products from Beijing, Guangdong and Jiangsu will also be at the fair.

Many national and provincial jade carving masters, painting and calligraphy masters, and crafts masters will bring their design works of the highest level to the fair. Collectors and art lovers can appreciate the super skills and creativity of these masters.

The creative design contest has recently issued a notice to collect designs of clothing and accessories, industrial design, interior design, and folk arts and crafts design among all walks of life.

Some other provinces have decided to attend the folk arts and crafts exhibition, as well as some foreign countries, such as Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Iran, with their Thangka painting, woodcarving, Buddha figures, Buddhism painting, jewel boxes, cashmere products, and ethnic costumes and accessories.

The hip-hop challenge match of the animation festival, cartoon music competition and creative bazaars are almost in place. So far, hundreds of animation enterprises and derivatives have signed up to participate in the animation festival.
