Located at 22-26 North Jiefang Road, Heping District, Tianjin, the former Location of American-Chinese Company Federal Inc is an important protection historic architecture in Tianjin and it serves as an office building now. Established in 1922, the American-Chinese Company Federal Inc. was an American company headquartered in Washington DC.
In May 1925, the company established its branch in Tianjin specializing in automobile import and export, auto spare parts and auto reparation etc. Constructed in 1926, the building covers an area of 3000 square meters and has a floor area of 4200 meters. Succinctly decorated, it is a three-storied mixed structure suitable for both office and residence. Most parts of the building facing the street are plastered brick walls and the rest are dry walls made of red bricks.
The first floor facing the street is arcade while the top of the second and third floor are supported by corbel and finely decorated. On the third floor is a terrace equipped with iron banisters. The building was appropriately and harmoniously designed, showing the characteristics of Eclecticism.
