Back in 1979, the first meeting between Danieli Luigi, president of an Italian company, Danieli, and Chinese Minister of Metallurgical Industry established the groundwork for the company’s strategic entry into the Chinese market.

Since then, Danieli has grown considerably and has maintained good relations with its Chinese customers. The company is committed to providing high-quality and highly-competitive equipment, advanced technologies and manufacturing know-how for the clients of metallurgical industry.

Since 1980s, Danieli has chosen Beijing as the site for its lead operation in China. When Danieli decided to set up its new business in China, BDA became the best choice due to its convenient access and a huge talent pool. Danieli Group set up its Chinese Operation Headquarter in BDA in 2003. And Danieli Metallurgical Equipment (Beijing) Co., Ltd was established here in July 2004.

BDA is located in Beijing, the country’s economic hub and cultural center. Its close links with the rest of China has given Danieli’s a huge boost in terms of staff coordination and project management. The area is also very close to the port so as to allow the company a rapid access to all of its clients. Another surprising attraction of BDA is its high modernity. Here our life is quite comfortable and convenient.

In retrospectives, the decision of settling in BDA has been a great success. And it has proven to be an expected wise move by our fruitful cooperation with the BDA Administrative Committee over these years. In March 2005, the headquarter plant and office building started formal operations. Up to the present, Danieli’s Chinese operation headquarter - Danieli Metallurgical Equipment (China) Co, Ltd has covered a total land area of 25,000 sq meters and employed a total of over 400 workers.

The corporate sales volume increased from 150 million Euros in 2005 to 500 million Euros in 2008. Based upon our excellent development in BDA and in recognition of the corporate values created by our staff and plant technicians, we shall further intensify and expand our business operations through boosting our manufacturing capacity in BDA and strengthening the cooperative partnership with our Chinese suppliers.
