Also, the Thomson Reuters Innovation Report highlighted that in 2017, BOE applied for 8,678 new patents, among which 85 percent were invention patents. The total number of the company’s patents available for use exceeds 60,000, with more than 3,000 new patent applications overseas covering countries and regions including the United States, Europe, Japan, and South Korea.
