Chongqing International Exhibition Center, which is affiliated with Chongqing Yuelai Investment Co, Ltd, is a modern and multi-functional stadium for holding exhibitions, meetings, performances, competitions and activities. Located in Yuelai Exhibition Town at the center of Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing, it has become the largest specialized exhibition stadium in the west.

Overview of Chongqing International Exhibition Center

The International Exhibition Center consists of five functional areas, including exhibition and multifunctional halls, a conference center, assorted commercial districts and hotels. There are 16 indoor exhibition halls with an area of 200 thousand square meters and the outdoor stadiums cover an area of 58 thousand square meters, which can hold various kinds of exhibitions including large machinery. Performances, sports events and large meetings and other indoor activities can be held in the multifunctional hall which covers an area of 20 thousand square meters. Overlooked from the sky, with colorful landscape lights, the steel roof of the stadium looks like a flying butterfly, the design of which signifies the changing development of the economy.

The planning and construction of the International Exhibition Center benefits from the direction in which the government has positioned Chongqing. In March, 2011, the construction of the international exhibition center formally started. In 2012, it successfully became one of the members of the Union of International Fairs (UFI) and International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE). In March, 2013, it was started operations. As one of the future city kernels of Chongqing , Yuelai Exhibition Town is a commercial platform, where the unique park, humanity and zoology exhibition halls are located.

As one of the projects of the International Exhibition Center, Chongqing Yuelai Conference Center is the largest conference center in the west. With complete functions and facilities, it is equipped with an extralarge banquet hall covering an area of 5,200 square meter and three large conference halls covering an area of over 1000 square meters. Full-coverage WIFI, a 60,000 sq meter LED screen, high-quality audio and video systems and simultaneous interpretation equipment are also equipped as standard in the International Exhibition Center.

Outside Chongqing's International Exhibition Center

Thirteen exhibitions and forty conferences were held during the past year. The area of 850 thousand square meters was used, and twelve thousand enterprises and 2.2 million people participated in the Center, accelerating the progress of the Chongqing exhibition industry. In 2014, the China Automobile Parts Fair and China Food & Drinks Fair will also be held in the Chongqing Center. As it develops, Yuelai Exhibition Town will move towards being an exhibition city, which will bring new energy to Chongqing.
