Pan Shiyi, CEO of Sohu China, never thought one of his friends from 26 years ago,, Li Yong, would still be working as a construction laborer. Li is feeling regretful for not following Pan's decision to take a risk and venture into a new field. The two met in Shenzhen in late 1980s while migrating to the South China coastal city to make a living. Pan chose to venture into real estate with money saved through years of part-time jobs while Li decided to start a family. It happened that in 2007 Li learned that the boss of a Sohu building work site turned out to be his former workmate, Pan.
