There's more to democracy than meets the eye

If you ask children to vote whether to study or play video games, the democracy process will mostly end up with a choice for the playing video games option.

If an employer asks his employees to vote whether to raise their salary by 10 percent or 20 percent, the democracy process will mostly end up with the 20 percent raise.

If a presidential candidate promises free education, free medical service and free gasoline for all citizens, the democracy process will mostly end up with his victory.

Democracy is good, but not for all situations and conditions.

As the host of the upcoming Democracy Summit, the US clearly knows that democracy is not suitable in certain situations and conditions.

If the US asks the UN permanent members to vote whether to attack Iraq or not (after fabricating facts that it had chemical weapons that endanger the world), this UN-style democracy will definitely prevent the US from attacking Iraq.

Since democracy is about freedom to choose without any external pressure, why does the US force its democracy on countries across the world?

Why can't those countries enjoy the democracy to freely choose their own way?

Why does the US abandon democracy by allowing Hollywood producers the freedom to choose their own movie plot?

Why does the US abandon democracy by banning certain American tech companies from selling their products and services to China?

Why does the US abandon democracy by banning certain chips companies across the globe from selling their products and services to China?

Why does the US abandon democracy by banning certain countries from choosing their arms suppliers?

Why does the US abandon democracy by banning other countries from buying arms from America?

Why does the US abandon democracy by banning China from rising peacefully?

After banning so many democracies both at home and abroad, is the US trying to humiliate itself by hosting a Democracy Summit?

A Democracy Summit is just a tool for the US to isolate China.

Now, imagine if the US target is Taiwan, not Chinese mainland.

The US might launch a trade war and tech war against Taiwan.

As the semiconductor industry plays a vital role in the Taiwan economy, the US might blacklist the semiconductor companies of Taiwan because of national security.

The argument is those chips are used in military hardware in Taiwan.

The US might ban the Chinese mainland from supplying Taiwan with any semiconductor materials that contain US technology.

Then persuade the Chinese mainland as a manufacturing powerhouse to build semiconductor plants in the US by giving some incentives, including tax breaks.

Instead of a Democracy Summit, the US might host a Peaceful Summit on Dec 9-10, by excluding Taiwan.

So, Democracy Summit or Peaceful Summit?

It depends on who is the US target.

Who is the next target?

If the target is the Chinese mainland, the US will host a Democracy Summit to isolate it.

If the target is Taiwan, the US might host a Peaceful Summit to isolate Taiwan.

If the target is Australia, the US might host an Agriculture Free Trade Summit to isolate Australia.

What if the target is Japan? Just ask how the US stopped Japan's rise in the past.

The Japanese will not forget this national tragedy.

The question is: who will become the next US target?
