State Grid Suqian Power Supply Company shines a light on the 'beautiful economy'

As the National Day holiday approaches, the flower market experiences a surge in sales. On the morning of September 24, the Butterfly Valley in Suqian city, Jiangsu province, bustled with activity. Workers were busy selecting, sorting, packaging, and delivering phalaenopsis to the flower market.

Qiao Chuang, the project leader of Butterfly Valley, opened the "State Grid Online" app on his mobile phone, entered the account number and selected the month. The electricity bill for August was displayed: showing a significant increase of 60 percent compared to the previous month.

Where did the increase in electricity consumption come from?

Qiaochuang points to the intelligent greenhouse: the temperature is 25℃, the humidity is 63.5 percent, and the soil temperature is 25℃... A large number of electrified and intelligent sensors monitor the growth of flowers in real-time; the automatic sprinkler system is activated with the touch of a button, and a continuous mist pervades the flowers; the electric sunshade quilt and air conditioning exhaust fan operates at full capacity; during the e-commerce anchor's round trip, he is enthusiastically shouting promotional slogans.

To support the construction of intelligent greenhouses, Suqian Power Supply Company of the State Grid has recently installed a new 10kV distribution line spanning 800 meters and added two dedicated transformers to meet the power demand for production at the base.

In recent years, the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has accelerated the construction of rural power distribution networks in Suqian, Jiangsu province, ensuring the flower and tree industry transitions from "access to electricity" to "quality electricity usage." Now, "reliable electricity" and "full grid capacity" are steadily flowing into Suqian through the "Village-Grid Co-Construction" initiative, driving local flower and tree production to enhance management efficiency and boost economic benefits.
