Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to jointly hold entrepreneurship competition
An entrepreneurship competition themed "Creating the Future in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" is set to launch in August, marking the first time the three regions have jointly organized such an event, according to the event's organizers.
According to the organizers, registration is open on the official competition website, with the deadline extended to the end of July.
The competition features five categories: artificial intelligence and robotics; integrated circuits and the low-altitude economy; pharmaceutical health and biomanufacturing; food technology and modern agriculture; and modern services and creative culture. Organizers said the categories are aligned with major national strategies and reflect key industrial trends in the region.
So far, 2,564 projects have been registered, with AI and modern services emerging as the most popular areas. Among them, 356 projects come from Hong Kong and Macao, according to Xie Zhongbao, deputy director of Guangdong's Human Resources and Social Security Department, who spoke at a news conference on Friday.
