The China Coast Guard conducted law enforcement patrols in the territorial waters and surrounding areas of China's Huangyan Island in the South China Sea on Thursday.
In a brief statement, the CCG said that since July, it has continuously intensified law enforcement patrols in the territorial waters and nearby areas of Huangyan Island, carrying out activities such as monitoring, verbal warnings, interception and driving away intruders in accordance with the law.
These patrols further strengthen control over the relevant maritime areas and resolutely safeguard national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, it said.
