Education innovation expo bolsters intl exchange in GBA
The 7th China Education Innovation Expo, hosted by Beijing Normal University, has established deep roots in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, actively supporting international educational cooperation initiatives.
Held in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, from Sunday to Monday, the expo serves as a bridge for sharing China's educational practices with the world and facilitates the exchange of high-quality global educational resources.
With the theme "Convergence·Sharing·Innovation: Advancing Innovation in Education for a Better Future", this year's expo convened 27 provincial education departments, more than 1,100 primary and secondary schools, 66 universities, and over a hundred non-profit organizations and education-technology companies, showcasing the vibrant power of educational innovation in China.
During the expo, a remarkable 1,386 innovative projects were showcased, alongside 57 high-level forums that facilitated in-depth discussions and over 1,000 workshops that ignited creative exchanges among participants. The event attracted nearly 100,000 attendees in person, while online viewership surpassed 3 million.
Wang Fan, curriculum director of Pui Va Middle School in Macao, said, "As a representative of Macao schools, I believe the expo is an excellent platform for mutual empowerment." The school is working to transform its regular learning programs in Hengqin and its youth exchange activities between Macao and Hengqin into long-term mechanisms, using the expo as a connector to move from one-off events to sustained, structured collaborations.
Since its launch in 2015, the expo has become a key national platform for presenting and exchanging educational innovation practices. Permanently hosted in Zhuhai since 2018, it has showcased nearly 10,000 projects and welcomed over one million participants.
