Chinese jewelry designer Aster Ma opened her design studio in the city recently. Her pieces are influenced by flowers and animals. Born in Beijing, Ma was educated in London. She now makes couture jewelry for private clients.

US lifestyle brand Fossil opened a new store in Livat Beijing on Dec 4. This is the brand's third outlet here. Founded in 1984 as a watch brand, Fossil is known for its classic, vintage style and accessories and handbags. It has more than 400 boutiques around the world.
