 本網小評：感恩節之際，再聽這首經典影視老歌《風之彩》，或許，我們會生出另一番感受，這種感受不叫浪漫，而是厚重的歷史……
在新英格蘭，清教徒最初的“感恩”很快轉化為對印第安部落的仇恨；而《風中奇緣》的發生地弗吉尼亞，在印第安公主病逝后的幾個世紀里，逐漸成為英國拓展北美殖民地的基石。
在迪士尼的卡通經典中，“Pocahontas”（《風中奇緣》）可以說是非常特別的一部 ——
頭一次讓“有色人種”當主角，而且故事的結局不再“皆大歡喜”。影片浪漫的愛情、動人的歌曲，以及回歸自然的主題，無不打動每一顆善感的心靈。只是，若真要回歸歷史，或許，您會覺得影片有粉飾白人的嫌疑。
實際上，印第安公主善良的行為、“浪漫”的聯姻，成為英國人征服北美的重大歷史轉折。歷史學家曾有過這樣的假設，如果Pocahontas沒有嫁給英國人，弗吉尼亞殖民地就不可能存在。聯姻后的暫時和平讓英國人站穩了腳跟，并且把印第安人逼到了內陸……
