Taiyuan has finally moved forward with plans to create the city’s first municipal botanical garden, as officials signed a public-private partnership agreement on Oct 10.
Dayu in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, sealed deals worth 250 million yuan ($37.24 million) at a tourism and agricultural conference held in the town on Sept 30.
Some 40 million people visited Shanxi province over the National Day holiday, bringing in $3.79 billion in tourism revenue, up 18.6 percent on the same period last year.
Reporters from 59 major online media agencies have been touring and presenting Shanxi from Sept 21 to 27 to change people's perceptions of the province.
