Ancient Taiyuan county in Shanxi province, which was founded in 1375, has now been restored to its Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) appearance, and is playing host to a fair to celebrate its past.
Guo Runzhi, a craftswoman in Xiaoyi county, Shanxi province, held a paper cutting she designed to mark the Year of the Dog which took her almost half a year to finish, Jan 18.
The staff members of the community donated books, items for daily use, and office supplies worth 30,000 yuan ($4,688.60) to households struggling financially, and to the primary school in Lijiapodi village.
