The Coming of Age Ceremony

The Coming of Age Ceremony is very important for Mosuo people. It is usually held on the first day of the lunar New Year, when the kids are 13 years old.

Bimo Culture Exhibition Hall opens

The opening ceremony of the Bimo Culture Exhibition Hall, a Young Bimo training course and the official launch of Lijiang Yi ethnic group Bimo textbooks were held in Xichuan village of Ninglang county in Lijiang on Oct 19.

Kunming hosts exhibition on Dongba culture

Experts specializing in the Naxi ethnic group, cultural experts from Kunming and reporters attended the opening ceremony of an exhibition on the Dongba culture of Naxi people at Kunming Museum on Sept 26.

Lijiang establishes Miao ethnic culture society

Representatives of the Wenshan autonomous prefecture and Dali autonomous prefecture, attended the opening of the Lijiang Miao ethnic culture society in Lijiang on Sept 25.
