Pakistan researcher: China's political system key to its developments and achievements

An opinion piece titled “Try the Chinese model once” was published by Pakistan Observer website on June 24 discussing the Chinese model, which in the author’s eyes has become a paradigm for a country’s prosperity and development.

The author, Khawar Abbas Sandhu, who is a researcher on Belt and Road Infinitive and CPEC, emphasized in his article that China's political system has led to advancements in economies, technology and tourism.

It highlights that China has established a multi-party cooperation system, with the Communist Party of China leading the country with the support of eight other parties. Despite accusations of a one-party system, China's economy, technology and tourism have outpaced those of countries with different democratic systems.

The article emphasizes that China's history and present times are noteworthy, and it is the only country to have declared the eradication of poverty ahead of schedule.

However, the western media, influenced by imperialist powers, distorts facts to maintain their supremacy. “But according to the ground reality, no one is ready to believe this propaganda. If we talk about trade, education, business, technology or tourism, the trend of the world towards China is continuously increasing,” the author wrote in his article.

The author also mentioned the popularity of the Great Wall among tourists, receiving millions of visitors annually, making it the most visited tourist site in the world. He further discussed the competition between cities in China for development, with Jiangsu province having the most cities listed among the top 100 city economies. Shanghai and Beijing ranked at the top of the GDP list, and the combined GDP of the top 100 Chinese cities accounts for a significant portion of the country's total GDP.

At the end of his article, the author contrasted the Chinese system, where every citizen has equal opportunities, with Western democracies where wealth concentration and poverty prevail. He pointed, “In the Chinese system, every citizen has equal opportunities to advance. Wealth does not go into a few hands. On the other hand, Western democracy has not been able to give the world anything more than the power of elites, the protection of group interests and the division of the class system.”

The article concludes that China's political system has set a great example to the world that not only democracy, but a system built on the basis of fairness, participation and equality can eradicate poverty from the world.
