Intl conference shows new pathways to integrate education, research and application
Sun Mingchun, director of the Center for School Development and Planning under the Ministry of Education, emphasized at the conference the importance of strengthening the synergy between education, talent development, innovation, and industry chains.
Zhao Zhen, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, reaffirmed Shanghai's commitment to deepening industry-education integration and supporting universities in building high-level innovation platforms with leading enterprises and research institutes.
This is the fourth year Shanghai University organized the conference with a continued focus on "Integrated Circuits and Beyond-Moore Technology".
Wu Jianyong, Party chief of Shanghai University, highlighted Shanghai University's efforts to gather global innovation resources and enhance talent cultivation and technology application. He said that Shanghai University has established partnerships with 263 universities and institutions in 55 countries and regions and created an effective bridge that connects international cooperation and facilitating the integration of industry, education, research and application.
A series of distinguished Swiss academics, including Professor Monica Duca Widmer, Professor Alain-Serge Porret, Professor Martin Fussenegger, and Professor Luc Stoppini, were appointed as international mentors for the joint training of post-graduate students at the conference.
