Xi's special envoy attends inauguration of Bolivian president
LA PAZ -- President Xi Jinping's special envoy Li Guoying on Saturday attended the inauguration ceremony of Bolivia's President Rodrigo Paz in La Paz, the capital of Bolivia, at the invitation of the Bolivian government.
On the same day, Paz held a bilateral meeting with Li, also minister of water resources of China.
Li conveyed Xi's cordial greetings and best wishes to Paz, adding that China and Bolivia are good friends and partners.
Since the establishment of bilateral ties 40 years ago, China-Bolivia relations have withstood the test of changes and have always maintained a good momentum of development, he said.
China attaches great importance to China-Bolivia relations and is willing to work with the new Bolivian government to jointly push the China-Bolivia strategic partnership to a new level and bring greater benefit to the two peoples, Li noted.
Paz asked Li to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to Xi, and sincerely thanked Xi for sending a special envoy to attend his inauguration ceremony.
Bolivia attaches great importance to developing relations with China, firmly adheres to the one-China principle, and looks forward to deepening cooperation with China in various fields to jointly push forward the bilateral relations, Paz said.
